Position Overview:
We are currently searching for an Archives Coordinator to join our Archives team in an exciting, growing, world-renowned motion picture studio. The Archives Department is located off site at a Burbank location. This position will report to the SVP of Archives.
Duties and responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
• Ensures clear communication of project development and implementation of company directives.
• Sets clear goals and deadlines, self manages projects and ensures compliance with operational policies and procedures.
• Follows safety standards, assists with the upkeep of warehouse machinery and physical space. Maintains supply stock.
• Inputs accurate records into database , provides first-line technical support and coordinates with IT for infrastructure maintenance
• Assists with the intake, storage of feature film assets, coordinates deliveries, follows proper storage and liquidation procedures.
• Assists with making accession selections, handling several aspects of preservation and storage, organizes use of objects for publicity events, coordinates temporary loans and setting up exhibits.
• Works with internal departments (Legal, Production, Accounting, etc...) and external vendors (transportation, storage, rentals, etc...) coordinating on a wide range of projects.
• Handles daily tasks and projects, photographs objects, edits photos, creates original database records, makes image catalogs, packs and shelves boxes.
• Special projects as assigned
Qualifications and experience:
• Must have previous experience working with production related assets.
• Proficiency in Filemaker Pro, Microsoft office, data entry.
• Photo management preferred but not required.
• Position requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently throughout the day.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizing abilities; prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently.
• High level of integrity, handling proprietary and confidential information; promotes confidence with other employees in handling of sensitive data.
