Legal Assistant / Paralegal position available at boutique entertainment law firm in Santa Monica representing producers, distributors, and financiers in the motion picture and television industries. We seek an applicant with a great attitude and work ethic, a great phone manner and professional email style, someone who is organized and detail-oriented and who takes pride in his or her work product. We would welcome someone with experience on the legal or business side of the film or TV business, or someone with prior experience working for a transactional entertainment law firm. Applicant will work primarily in motion picture legal delivery and will be trained in our firm's practices and procedures. Duties will include but are not limited to reviewing various types of contracts (rights agreements, talent agreements, music, insurance, credits, etc.) and liaising with clients, producers, attorneys, and guilds. We will not hire an attorney for this position. Pay commensurate with experience, training, and skill level; medical and dental benefits.
