Seeking Photogrammetry Artist w/ supporting 2D/3D skills
Cognition Corporation is a cutting-edge creative facility and media lab focused on developing Virtual and Augmented Reality projects and technologies. We leverage Photogrammetry and game engine technologies to create unique VR experiences. We are located in the heart of Hollywood and interested in expanding our team to include someone with passion and experience with Photography and Photogrammetry as well as having supporting 2D and 3D skills.
Successful candidate would study and contribute to improving the current pipeline as well as actually doing photogrammetric shooting, processing for high quality 3D model solves in addition to some cleanup work.
Requirements:
• Experienced in photography w/ many types of digital cameras.
o Already familiar with ISO, depth of field, F-Stops, Studio Strobe lights, and ''on camera flash''.
• Experience using Photogrammetry software to generate high quality 3D models. ''Reality Capture'' experience preferred, but PhotoScan experience would also be relevant.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Nuke (or other compositor) for image prep, alpha masking, and color correction of final result.
• Bonus complimentary 2D or 3D skills that could be leveraged when not actively shooting or processing with apps such as.
o Maya
o Lightwave
o Houdini
o Z-Brush or Mudbox
o Texture processing tools ''ReMake'', ''3D Coat'', ''Quixel'', ''CrazyBump'', ''Substance Designer''
• VR experience with UnReal or Unity would be a strong bonus.
• Detail oriented with a good eye for composition and lighting.
• Strong interest in learning new skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Field work requires ability to lift at least 50 lbs, walking, kneeling, hiking, and occasional multi-day domestic or international travel.
