Disney ABC Networks Group's Production Finance Department is responsible for the financial management of all of our television series, MOW's, pilots and specials as we interact with many other Disney ABC Network Group departments on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
• Prepare consolidated Cash Flow Forecast. Analyze variances against Prior Forecast.
• Prepare consolidated Financial Reporting deliverables such as Development Aging, Development Spend and EFC Reports
• Manage production Cash Flows and maintain payment database in Access to ensure timely fundings. Audit EFT/wire requests.
• Set up and maintain Excel payment recaps. Ensure development and production cost information are properly reflected. Monitor and record use of foreign currency pre-buys.
• Set up and close WBS project numbers in SAP and update settlement rules as development projects move into production.
• Prepare Payment Recap to SAP and GL Reconciliations; Research and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage the quarterly close process which includes accruals, development and pilot write-offs, and intercompany billings with Disney TV Animation.
• Process journal entries, bill backs and invoice payments in SAP for long form and short form projects.
• Ensure quarterly SOX compliance and respond to audit requests and inquiries.
• Review monthly Corporate card charges to ensure costs are coded to the correct projects.
• Demonstrate effective communication and build strong relationships with various internal and external business partners at all levels.
• • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies and provide a more efficient workflow. • Plan and perform ad hoc projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting is required.
• Proficiency with WBS project set up and updating settlement rules in SAP.
• Ability to analyze and interpret legal contracts to understand payment terms.
• Passionate about television programming with a keen interest in and aptitude for learning the business.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and work well under pressure.
• Self-motivated, deadline and results oriented.
• Pragmatic, highly organized and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel including vlookups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
