Full Time Job
The Assignment Desk Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily newsgathering efforts for multiple platforms. Duties can include, but are not limited to, answering phones, booking feeds, acquiring materials/information for all FS1 shows, efforting clearance of media from non-FOX entities via social media or licensing, cutting video clips, maintaining up to date contacts around the country, downloading video off FTP sites for use in production, ensuring games are recorded properly, attending production planning meetings. Once the Assignment Desk Assistant is fully trained, this role will be a 5 p.m. PT – 2 a.m. PT shift and this information should be duly noted by all applicants.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with internal staff, regions, affiliates and outside media outlets, booking feeds and acquiring/distribution of materials/information for all FOX Sports and FOX affiliates.
• Effort clearance of media from non-FOX entities via social media or licensing
• Ensuring events are recorded properly, cutting video clips and sending to multiple FOX entities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• 1-2 years experience in news operations
• Ability to manage multiple projects, strong phone and people skills to maintain effective business relationships around the country. Basic knowledge of how satellite, fiber feeds, and FTP sites work.
• Knowledge of Newsroom systems including INews. Microsoft Office Suite. Very strong internet skills. Knowledge of using FTP and online video a plus.

The app offers more than 1,100 live games and events from cross FOX Sports, FS1, FS2 and FOX Sports' 22 regional sports networks, as well as scores, highlights, news, stats and analysis.
