Do you enjoy working on communications at the corporate level, telling the Netflix story and educating press on what Netflix stands for and what we value. Critical to the overall corporate communications role will be managing sensitive issues with the press or working closely with our business development and public policy teams on stakeholder communications.

The Role:
The Manager of Corporate Communications will play a key role in strategizing, executing and managing media relationships with business and wire journalists based in Asia to tell the story of Netflix. He/she will be a member of a small, seasoned group of professionals who will work with various Netflix teams including consumer PR, social media and Netflix Originals teams to maximize our corporate brand stories, build the quality and frequency of our exposure. The Manager will influence the outcomes by developing deep relationships to create, find, and develop innovative programs to maximize our corporate profile and develop value-added concepts for our brand.
The person in the role must be an effective communicator, capable of translating complex subjects into understandable messages for press, executives and partners. She or he should have also worked with agencies, or has managed projects at an agency.
The manager will also help coordinate requests and initiatives from international territories and will help prioritize what is important and vital to accomplish.
Domestic and international travel is likely. The ideal candidate is able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity and should think strategically. He/she can articulate what they are and are not trying to do. He or she is a good listener and a real doer.
The Manager Must:
• Have a global orientation, with international experience and the ability to speak multiple languages being a plus.
• Be experienced at using various tools to deliver a message, be it infographics, animations, videos or the written word.
• Be able to work cross functionally and build relationships inside and outside the organization.
• Understand how to build and maintain relationships with key journalists and social media influencers (journalists and former journalists are encouraged to apply).
• Be capable and confident to serve as a company spokesperson in different cultural and media milieus.
• Be deeply familiar with, and enthusiastically curious about entertainment, technology, intellectual property, privacy and other internet-related issues.
• Be an entrepreneurial self-starter who comes up with new approaches and is eager to try those out.
• At least 10 to 12 years of experience.
