Full Time Job
Nickelodeon is seeking a Marketing Director who will be responsible for leading a team in creating innovative new sponsorship opportunities, ad products, and supporting materials, executing turn-key sponsorship packages and tent-pole marketing elements. S/he will collaborate with multiple departments to curate and then disseminate relevant information, as well as researching and sharing new trends and technologies throughout Nickelodeon. Specific responsibilities include:
• Create compelling, creative, insight-driven sponsorship packages that showcase excellent storytelling, incorporate research and drive incremental advertising revenue for all Nick, NickToons and NickSports platforms
• Direct execution and communication of all Upfront marketing strategies including new franchises, sales products, turn-key sponsorships and digital promotional placements
• Oversee weekly meetings with site, social and on-air programming teams to identify network priorities and opportunities based on key events, premieres and launches
• Develop and create all sponsorship elements (inclusive of billboards, sweepstakes, digital, etc) for major network tentpole events such as World Wide Day of Play
• Lead direct reports in the development of key skills including problem solving, deck creation, creative ideation, story telling, business practices, and strategic thinking
• Attend and participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure Sales and Marketing goals are incorporated within all Nickelodeon priority endeavors
• Act as Partner Marketing and Sales internal resource for all custom proposals, helping generate client-specific sponsorship integration ideas across all categories and media
• Create assessments of sponsorship performance via sell-through analysis, ad sales interviews, and marketplace trends
• Oversee Sponsorship Portal, ensuring development including standard practices, improvements, and process
• Regularly present sponsorship packages and programming updates to internal groups including Sales, Media Planning, Programming and Partner Marketing
• Constantly research on-air competitor opportunities, new digital trends, platforms and experiences that can inform sponsorship packages and share with broader Nickelodeon team via monthly Innovation Series and accompanying digital information hub
Basic Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience in a marketing, media company or advertising agency
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for writing
• Proactive and strategic thinker
• Excellent PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Excel skills
• Skilled diplomat who works effectively across multiple departments and external parties
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, high performance group with multiple projects at one time
• Strong desire to work for a global brand and to contribute to innovation within the organization
