Full Time Job
The Segment Producer is responsible for overseeing the direction, logistics, and output of segments for weekly airing throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production process. This includes the following: pre-production meetings, scriptwriting, segment shooting, crew supervision, editing supervision, client coordination, segment approval, and assembly for airing as well as duties required for the office and the company as a whole.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing and executing studio episode segments according to season grid
• Writing of audio/visual segment scripts and rundowns on a weekly basis
• Produce feature, tease, highlight packages for events
• Managing relations and project of client in a professional manner
• Coordinating and managing logistics of video shoots
• Directing and supervision of hosts and video production crew during segment shoots
• Supervision and scheduling of editors and segment edits to meet the demanding revision process and deadlines of both client and each show’s weekly airing schedule
• Generating target editing output: weekly and monthly
• Coordinating troubleshoot of technical problems and other concerns
• Ability to multi-task and handle all tasks assigned by management
• Training to establish production procedures for Production Assistants and Associate Producers and other Production personnel.
• Schedule and coordinate with Assignment Desk and Studio Operations for facilities and staff for assigned projects.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in broadcast sports
• Audio/visual scriptwriting experience and proficiency
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
• Experience and knowledge of Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier basics
• Knowledge of multi-camera shooting and video production
• Strong sense of storytelling and musicality to score segments and enhance tone
• Leadership, management, and training skills
• Must be willing to work different schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Willingness to fulfill other tasks assigned by management
