Full Time Job
This role will report to the Manager of Talent Programs and will be responsible for Talent Programs operational assistance, with an initial focus on supporting Pixar's global mobility/immigration, leave of absence, and compliance programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the preparation of non-immigrant visa petitions (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.)
• Track and communicate employee visa statuses and updates
• Archive immigration related files; conduct quarterly audits of paper Forms I-9
• Organize and track legal fees and filing costs related to nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications
• Provide Consular employment verification and related support letters to sponsored employees, as required
• Liaise with candidates, recruiters, and outside immigration counsel to answer visa status and timing questions
• Update leave of absence policy and procedure documents as needed
• Provide leave of absence support and guidance to Talent Partner team
• Stay abreast of latest developments in federal and state employment regulations
• Assist Manager with ensuring studio labor law compliance
• Assist Manager with state and federal mandated training
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of global mobility/immigration experience
• 1-2 years of HR experience
• Working knowledge of U.S. immigration laws
• Proven ability to partner across multiple departments within an organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, self-manage projects and deadlines
• Proactive attitude; demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws
• Experience using HR systems preferred; Workday experience a plus
PHYSICAL FACTORS:
• Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stoop as necessary
• Ability to occasionally lift office supplies, up to 20 pounds
