Rodale Inc. is currently seeking a proactive, articulate and energetic Sales Assistant to support the Corporate & Digital Brand Sales & Marketing Team in our New York City office. The Sales Assistant is crucial in supporting the day-to-day function of the sales staff. The position requires attention to detail, organization, strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
include:
• Assisting in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFP)
• Managing sales account contact information
• Aiding in the organization of all internal and external meetings
• Managing MS Excel spreadsheets and daily correspondence with clients
• Working on special projects as assigned
• Coordination of travel arrangements
• Basic administrative tasks for the sales management team and advertising sales representatives, such as preparation of travel arrangements, the submission of expense reports as well as management of magazine subscriptions for advertising clients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous administrative experience
• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
• Strong PC skills and proficiency in Word, GSuite, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Highly detail-oriented
• Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment
