Full Time Job
Rodale Inc., is currently seeking a proactive, articulate and energetic Sales Assistant to support the NYC-based sales team at Women’s Health. This individual is crucial in supporting the day-to-day function of the Women’s Health sales staff. The Sales Assistant position requires attention to detail, organization, strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive can-do attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work with many dynamic personalities. This position is located in New York City.
Job Responsibilities:
• Aide in the organization of sales prep materials including competitive research, scheduling of the appointments and coordination of all logistics for travel
• Manage accurate client and agency contact lists for the sales managers/directors
• Handle basic administrative tasks such as submission of expense reports, maintain office supplies and magazine subscriptions
• Have a strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Work collaboratively and effectively with all internal departments including corporate sales, marketing, research and management
• Work collaboratively with other sales assistants to support the Women’s Health sales team
• Communicate effectively (oral and written communication skills) on behalf of Women’s Health with clients and agency contacts as directed
• Have a positive, respectful can do attitude
• Represent the Women’s Health brand with a polished, professional approach
• Assist the marketing department with special events and projects as needed
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous assistant or internship experience in a publishing or sales organization is a plus
• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
• Strong PC skills and proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft tools
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Highly detail-oriented
• Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment
