Manager, Business Strategy & Analysis
The Manager, Business Strategy and Analysis is responsible for building and maintaining an enterprise driver-based model for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) to develop dynamic financial plans and help inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
• Support the end-to-end planning, implementation and maintenance of the driver-based model
• Work collaboratively with business units to gain an understanding of their key business drivers and planning workflows
• Capture requirements and create specifications for driver-based model features
• Train executives and other end-users on how to use the driver-based model and discuss potential enhancements and improvements as needed
• Support financial planning processes by assisting in the creation of financial models and templates
• Leverage data, knowledge, and expertise to identify and drive on-going process improvements
Requirements/Qualifications
• BA/BS in Business Analytics, Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university
• 3 years experience in an equivalent strategic and/or operational role (preferably in the Media & entertainment industry)
• Prior experience in strategy and/or management consulting strongly desired
• Working knowledge of finance and accounting (e.g., income & cash flow statements, amortization)
• Demonstrated experience building business/financial models and analyzing large data sets
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (proficiency with BI tools, e.g. Tableau, a plus)
• Highly analytical and results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong business acumen and ability to structure problems in a logical, comprehensive manner
• Strong project management skills including experience working with technical teams in a software development environment
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge the current norm-demonstrates a passion for driving positive change
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to partner and collaborate effectively with cross-divisional functions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
