Full Time Job
Be the primary analysis contact for the organization and will be responsible for creating recommendations that guide business strategy and develop business insights for Publishing and Digital Media. This position is responsible for coordination between the Product Management, Strategy, Finance,, Marketing, Sales, Franchise and Digital teams to ensure analytical projects are effectively delivered on time. This position requires both strategic and tactical skill sets with an eye for numbers, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, a strong command of digital media, and an understanding of retail POS. The candidate must have a proven track record in data-rich analyses, and be a team player, responsive and business savvy. In addition, the candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interface effectively with senior management both on the business and technical side.
Responsibilities
• Provide Revenue Management Insights for Disney Book Group - Capture sell-in information by account and prepare sales plans and sales materials to support salesforce for DBG
• Work closely with Key Account Managers and local teams to ensure DPW items are coded properly and regularly into the system
• Track sell through – Microstrategy POS across vertical and licensed product
• Leverage Analytics team to generate business recommendations related to inventory, pricing, category, franchise positions, etc across vertical and licensed businesses
• Manage Digital Insights team – e-book sales by account, sales reports, title performance and track sales performance/key metrics for apps(Digital Learning)
• Provide ad-hoc decision support to help evaluate emerging business models and platforms
• Test pricing and customer acquisition strategies leveraging
• Surface potential opportunites to leverage both digital media, DCPI e-commerce, and other digital patforms to drive incremental revenue
• Lead cross function team in developing new reports, processes and data systems to meet developing business needs/requirements (ie Retail, category, franchise, licensee, market, etc)
• Link the Publishing Database system with DCP's Retail Analytics Database an other revelvent data sets
• Manage and continue to develop DPW's PowerPivot and Forecasting custom tools.
Basic Qualifications
• 6 years' experience analyzing data, financial or Retail analysis preferred
• Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
• Experience managing a high performing team

• Must feel comfortable learning new systems and tools
• Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
• Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships
• Expert application skills including COGNOS, Excel, PowerPivot, SharePoint, and PowerPoint required
• Familiarity with databases
