Full Time Job
Job Title: VOD Content Executive
Division: Digital Media Group (DMG)
Reporting to: Channel Manager, VOD
Location: Camden
Contract: Fixed Term, 4 Months
Role Purpose
The VoD Content Executive is responsible for ensuring all licensed programming is scheduled across available devices and platforms.
Key to the success of this role is the ability to use content managements systems and have an understanding of technical and editorial workflows.
The VoD Content Executive needs to work closely with two other Executives and a Picture Editor to support new site, show and platform launches. Additionally, their role will focus on merchandising all VOD content on the My5 app to drive viewing to a vast catalogue of shows.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage content rights for re-licenced programming to ensure everything we have available is utilised across all VOD platforms
• Ensure high quality, impactful show imagery and synopses are present
• Create detailed content schedules for the purpose of affiliate platform partners and 5-owned applications
• Show detailed knowledge of the archive schedules to ensure that all episodes are published when they should be
• Build and maintain a close working relationship with Channel 5’s content processing partner, who package and deliver VoD assets according to the schedules created by the VOD Content team
• Forge strong professional relationships with other internal teams including Legal and Commercial Affairs, Planning and Scheduling
Person Specification
The ideal candidate is a graduate of Media Studies or equivalent, or else someone with a proven track record in a related role. You will also have a strong sense of editorial judgement and a passion for Channel 5 programming and television as a whole.

Background
Channel 5's Digital Media Group (DMG) creates and operates the broadcaster's products across a range of digital media platforms: websites, social media, connected TVs, games consoles, smartphones and tablets. These include channel5.com, video-on-demand (VoD) service, My5, and pre-school service Milkshake.tv.
DMG’s remit is to deliver incremental revenue and profit to Channel 5 by increasing engagement with its programming across digital platforms and supporting the channel’s editorial and commercial priorities more widely.

The portfolio is completed by My5, the most widely available commercial on-demand service available across multiple platforms and delivering a range of great content.
In 2015, the Channel 5 portfolio continued was the only major commercial free-to-air network to grow share of all adults, and increased its share of the valuable 16-34 audience by 4%. Channel 5 launched as Britain's fifth public service channel in March 1997.
