Manager, Screen Credits Administration (Disney Entertainment)
Job Summary:
The Screen Credits Dept. is responsible for the administration of on-screen credits for Disney Entertainment's content. The Dept. provides an invaluable service, ensuring that talented people who work on productions are acknowledged on-screen for their work accordingly. The team operates at the intersection of legal compliance, labor, production, post-production, and talent relations – collaborating with various internal and external teams during production and post-production and getting an inside look, into the creation of what viewers see on screen.
The Screen Credits Administration Manager will be assigned their own shows across ABC Signature Studios and 20th Television's entire slate of productions. For each show, the Manager is responsible for reviewing documents, including talent contracts, deal memos, scripts, production reports and cast and crew lists, to determine who receives on-screen credits. The Manager must make sure that the credits for each show comply with guild rules as well as company precedent. Screen credits are a critical matter for talent and the Manager plays a crucial role in according the appropriate credit as due.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Review contracts and various production documents to create a summary of credit obligations.
• Submit notices to the various guilds – e.g., Notice of Tentative Writing Credits to the WGA and Credits/Residuals Determinations to the DGA.
• Work with the various guilds in obtaining screen credit waivers/approvals as needed; requires developing a relationship with the guilds' credit departments.
• Prepare approval drafts of credits, distribute drafts, and make revisions after input from various studio executives (e.g., Production, Creative, Business Affairs).
• Advise studio executives on company precedent on according to credit (when discretionary).
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years' experience in Physical Production Operation or a related Production role within Television or Features required.
• Experience with working and interfacing with attorneys, guilds, internal studio depts and exhibitors required.
• Experience interfacing and collaborating effectively with all levels of Studio and Show Post and Production personnel required.
• Superior Excel, Microsoft Office, and Grammar skills required.
• Effective concise verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent time and process organizational, analytical and research skills required.
• Experience with handling multiple deadline sensitive projects that require timely responsiveness.
• A passion for working in a moderately high-pressure Office setting handling multiple time-sensitive projects required.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Burbank, CA (position is onsite 4+ days a week).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Television or Feature screen credits and/or Guild work experience desired.
• Familiarity with production databases desired; Scenechronize a plus.
• Physical production experience desired.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $77,100 to $103,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
