Your Impact:
Harper's Bazaar is looking for a shopping-obsessed editor to help develop and execute the brand's commerce strategy. This role will report to the digital director. The commerce editor will work with Bazaar's fashion team as well as Hearst's central commerce team to create content that meets ambitious revenue and growth goals while maintaining the highest editorial standards and taste level. The ideal candidate should marry an enthusiasm for fashion and culture with a deep understanding of analytics to create innovative content that builds brand loyalty and trust.

Responsibilities:
• Commerce strategy and execution: Help create and execute Harper's Bazaar's e-commerce content to hit revenue goals while maintaining the brand's taste level and sensibility
• Write and edit shopping stories to meet commerce goals
• Work with the Bazaar editorial teams to optimize content across platforms to reach revenue goals
• Convert insights from analytics into actionable commerce and content strategy
Qualifications:
• 4 years experience writing, editing, and executing on growth goals in digital media, particularly within the fashion and luxury space
• Deep knowledge of SEO best practices
• Experience with affiliate platforms, including Amazon and skim links
• Deep knowledge of fashion and e-commerce landscape
• Familiarity with analytics (Google, Parse.ly, Looker) and creating content based on insights
• Strong writing and editing skills
The base salary for this role is between $67,000 and $70,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
