Experience and Education Requirements:

- Education: No specific degree required, technical proficiency in related field essential.
Skills Required:
- Hard Skills:
- Technical proficiency in theatrical lighting, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment.
- Experience as a GrandMA 2 programmer and running GrandMA consoles at live events.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of the basics of a D3 media service.
- Electrician work experience preferred.

- Ability to handle budget, contracts, and vendor relations effectively.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- Position: Director, Show Production at Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
- Role Overview: The Director is responsible for creating unforgettable in-arena experiences at Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals home games. This role manages all show effects, including lighting, projection, pyrotechnics, and more, to design, create, and synchronize immersive shows that captivate audiences.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and develop show effects such as lighting, projection, haze, cryo, pyro, lasers, etc.
- Supervise and train light technicians and projection operators.
- Manage court/ice projection systems and content creation.
- Work closely with building operations to coordinate and innovate show elements.
- Maintain and manage repairs for all equipment.
- Handle budgeting, contract discussions, and vendor management.
