Our Corporate Communications team owns the development and management of The Walt Disney Company's reputation through communications strategies that support the company's strategic priorities and vision.
We are seeking a Manager, Multi-platform Storytelling & Digital Operations to join us! In this role, you will serve as a transformative storyteller responsible for implementing and supporting a digital communication strategy that delivers fresh, engaging, and relevant content across various platforms. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of the latest web development, user experience, extensive knowledge of coordinating the production of web design, SEO, social content, content distribution, and a proven track record of demonstrating technical expertise to drive high levels of audience engagement. What You Will Do
• Build and maintain a product roadmap for corporate communications.
• Supervise current product features, bugs, and backlog.
• Facilitate conversations between technology and multiple business partners to prioritize digital features.
• Research industry best practices and propose products and features to bring to fruition.
• Work across various business units to gather information and document processes and requirements for all aspects of a deployment including features/functionality.
• Based on the product vision and/or high-level business requirements, identifies, defines, and documents the detailed requirements for product/improvement.
• Responsible for cross-functional work that spans business lines using in-depth knowledge to guide and influence outcomes.
• Present requirements for validation to senior level management and all stake-holders.
• Design Process: Participate in and strongly influence the development project team process, providing and collecting information to ensure product requirements and functionality are being met and addressed with the development team.
• Participate and understand how developers are working on the project and align with TWDC leadership to make decisions along the way.
• Closely monitors and coordinates all activities vital for a successful deployment, making trade-offs, prioritizing and advising impacted parties of any changes.
• Documentation: Build internal and external user documentation. Identify and detail internal user and process requirements and related solutions through a complete production cycle.
• Production Readiness: Primary representative for Management in day-to-day activities surrounding the development, user acceptance testing and roll-out of the product/improvement.
• Ensure that posts on twdc.com are brought to full discovery potential by employing search engine optimization (SEO) tactics
• Distribution of content across various channels (external, internal, social, email listservs, etc.)
• Closely collaborating with the Director and Editorial Manager on the look and programming of twdc.com.
• Use a journalistic lens to help build and define digital strategy for external and internal distribution platforms.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Analytical abilities to drive the underlying need behind enhancement requests.
• Ability to influence people over whom you do not have direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including a confirmed ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of sophisticated critical issues.
• Ability to form relationships and collaborate with a wide range of partners from different backgrounds and functions.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology.
• Inclusive approach which embraces diversity.
• Extensive knowledge of SEO and social media practices
• Knowledge of WordPress and other content management systems, Jira, and Adobe Analytics
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a digital newsroom or news outlet
• Certified Product Owner, or equivalent.
• Agile certifications.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $114,500.00- $157,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
