Full Time Job
The VP Marketing, Digital will lead digital marketing solutions across the Discovery Communications networks, reporting into the SVP, Digital Ad Sales & Strategic Solutions. In this role, the VP will be responsible for creating go-to-market messaging and packaging for the sales team and B2B marketplace.
Responsibilities
1. Lead go-to-market digital positioning across all networks
2. Lead B2B go-to-market positioning for all digital partnerships, including but not limited to Group Nine, VR, Facebook Spotlight, Snapchat and TVE Go.
3. Develop multi-platform solutions for the marketplace and for specific clients
4. Partner with digital sales & solutions to support and occasionally represent brands and products for client/agency meetings & presentations
5. Utilize network knowledge to identify key digital sales opportunities
6. Represent and drive internal marketing needs in promoting our digital network strategies
7. Partner with Brand VPs & networks in the development of digital sales tent poles, including developing presentations and sales materials
8. Collaborate with colleagues from Sales, Price Planning & Inventory, and Finance as needed to ensure effective pricing and inventory decisions are reached and collective yield targets are met
9. Position demands significant interaction with Brand VPs, network GMs, Programming, Marketing, and Communication as well as strong cooperation with colleagues across the Sales and CCO organization
Requirements
* Candidate must have 10-12 years-related senior Marketing and Sales Strategy experience
* Strong conceptual and strategic planning skills
* Media experience with a keen eye on the marketplace and crafting competitive advantages
* Individual must be innovative and creatively execute company goals and directions
*Position requires travel
*BA degree or equivalent required
* Must have the legal right to work in the US
