The mission of ID's Internship Program is to provide interns with a rigorous, high-quality educational and practical experience, which will prepare them as competent and effective communication strategists with an emphasis in entertainment public relations; giving them a competitive advantage in pursuing entry-level opportunities post-graduation.
We are seeking interns to join our company who display the drive and dedication needed to begin a career in entertainment. As an intern you will be viewed as a fundamental part of the company. Interns are given the opportunity to gain hands on work experience alongside various departments including Film, Brands, Talent, Music and Digital. You will learn to create press kits, draft event invite memos, organize talent schedules, clip press breaks, assist in the planning and execution of events, and learn how to pitch media both strategically and creatively, among many other tasks, as part of the intern program at ID. From assisting in the day-to-day tasks required of a full-time publicist to strategic planning and communications, ID interns will have a fully integrated and enriching semester.
We also have an opportunity for students who have a major emphasis in Journalism, English and/or Creative Writing to intern specifically with our Creative Communications team. The intern will gain hands-on experience to write and edit engaging copy (including key messages, press releases, bios, statements, scripts and new business proposals) for clients across all departments. This opportunity requires a gifted writer with excellent communication skills, an ability to think creatively and strategically, an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, able to think outside the box and work collaboratively. Being able to multi-task is a must. Good sense of humor? We like that.
Specific Requirements
• Must be able to earn school credit for their attendance in the program and able to provide written confirmation from current college/university.
• Must be able to attend the two-day orientation/onboarding session. Attendance to this orientation is critical to the success of the intern's education and performance throughout the program.
• Must be able to stay through the end of the program to participate in the presentation of the final project.
• Must be able to commit to attending a minimum of 20 hours per week - dates and hours can vary based on school/work schedules.
We have limited openings for each semester/session and in each location.
NEW YORK LOCATION - 6 Openings
Start Date: January 15, 2018
End Date: April 20, 2018
