Our goal in global acquisition is to find the right consumer, in the right market, at the right time, with the right Netflix asset, on the right scale platform that causes an incremental conversion. We need a thought and people leader that brings together the best of performance marketing strategy and tactics to drive member growth globally.
This leader will need to be skilled at working cross functionally and be equal parts creative and analytical with a global mindset. On the creative side, this leader and their team will drive strategy on how we leverage the Netflix brand and shows, what creative elements to test, and what formats/inventory are ideal to best drive incremental acquisition. On the analytical side, this leader and their team will need to embrace measurement of incremental conversion vs. other common attribution methods and leverage a set of technical partners ranging from data scientists, machine learning experts, and ad tech product team to iterate on the best formula for incremental acquisition. This is a global role that needs to address acquisition across the many countries Netflix operates in - this leader will need to work across many markets and not just be a US expert.
This role can be located in either Los Gatos or Los Angeles.
The Role
• Lead global acquisition strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership team spanning Marketing Planning & Analysis, Ad Tech, Machine Learning and Algorithms, Science and Analyses, Global Creative Marketing
• Lead, mentor and strengthen a team of programmatic campaign managers
• Drive acquisition learning agenda, focusing on meaningful tests to surface new strategies to increase our acquisition effectiveness and efficiency. Test subject matter range from usage of algos to drive optimization, calls-to action and other creative elements, and inventory, among others.
• Partner with product team to identify test opportunities across paid media, product messaging and landing page optimization
Required Qualifications
• 8-10 years of digital marketing and customer acquisition experience with significant experience outside of the US
• Deep Direct Response marketing experience across a range of channels including SEO, SEM, display, and paid social, Open to experience both on the advertiser side and supply side (ad networks/DSPs, large publishers).
• Experience testing activity, measuring results and optimizing accordingly is essential. Proven ability to leverage technical partners for business impact, such as data scientists and engineers.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high performing teams. Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct reporting lines.
• Experience of all aspects of campaign management including planning/testing, creative development and ongoing optimization
• Proven ability to drive the creative iteration in all elements of advertising (e.g., CTAs, campaign themes, look and feel of assets) that balance direct response with brand building
• Strong grasp of the overall digital marketing ecosystem and the role that programmatic media plays within
• Excellent communication skills; you will be the go-to-person for our campaign strategy team as it pertains to their campaigns. Interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for success.
