The Social Media Producer at Pac-12 Networks plays a crucial role in connecting fans to the Pac-12 teams and sports they love. The right person for this role will be a social media omnivore with a proven track record of curating and creating engaging content on behalf of brands. The role is based in San Francisco and reports to the Social Media Manager at Pac-12 Networks.
Responsibilities
include:
• Curate, moderate and create content for multiple Pac-12 owned and operated social media channels simultaneously
• Spur engagement surrounding live games and studio programming on Pac-12 Networks and other events that drive fan excitement
• Listen to fans across multiple platforms, and provide customer care
• Execute live broadcasts on Facebook, Periscope, and YouTube
• Assist Pac-12 Networks on-air talent with their social personas and interactions with fans
• Pursue and service partners and influencers for sharing content
• Execute sponsored social media elements and paid social media marketing campaigns
• Other tasks as assigned by the Social Media Manager
Requirements:
• A minimum of three years of professional work experience, with at least two years in a role that included managing the social voice for a team, company or brand
• Self-starter requiring little oversight while maintaining excellent attention to detail
• BA or BS degree in journalism, marketing or another related field
• Deep understanding of all social media platforms, primarily Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and live streaming video.
• Proven ability to generate content that resonates socially.
• A solid handle on proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and AP style
• A deep knowledge of sports, the Pac-12 Conference, and its schools
• Willingness to work hours as dictated by sports and the social media news cycle including evenings and weekends
