The Director, Growth Marketing - reporting to the Senior Director, Growth & Retention - will be responsible for strategizing, executing, and optimizing growth and paid engagement efforts for the Audacy app, Audacy.com and key Audacy consumer initiatives, driving customer acquisition, increasing platform listening and achieving KPIs. The ideal candidate possesses experience successfully managing performance media buys for a direct to-consumer business in app environments, social media, search, and display, as well as architecting and executing organic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Performance Marketing & Paid Media:
• Oversee end-to-end execution of paid media campaigns across various channels
• Serve as primary liaison to external agencies leading national and local buying efforts for the streaming app and locally-driven performance campaigns
• Utilize data-driven insights to optimize budgets, targeting and creative elements, with a focus on return on ad spend (ROAS) and lifetime value (LTV)
• Brief creative teams on needs and best practices for performance campaigns
• Traffic assets and copy to internal teams and external agencies executing buys
• Conduct A/B testing on creatives, targeting and messaging to optimize performance
• Monitor spending patterns, identify efficiencies and reallocate budgets as necessary
• Evaluate impact and opportunities of expanding media spend to new channels
Audience Development and Content Marketing Strategy:
• Execute both national and hyper-local initiatives that grow audiences in key markets
• Develop a close understanding of key Music, Sports and News stations, programming and talent - and their respective brand voice, unique value proposition and competitive position in the local market
• Identify high-value target audiences and segments that will maximize impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align growth plans with overall marketing campaigns, ensuring creative and messaging coincide with broader brand strategy
Insights, Analytics & Reporting:
• Actively participate in developing analytics strategy, in partnership with the Product Analytics and Strategic Insights teams, to understand incremental impact of media spend and other growth initiatives
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and areas for
improvement
Qualifications
Required:
• 10 years of growth marketing and media strategy experience across digital and programmatic channels
• Track record of designing strategic, creative and innovative media campaigns that deliver business impact
• Experience executing campaigns across Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, Meta, Google SEM and digital display
• Understanding of the US media landscape, data privacy laws and data strategy
• Experience with media measurement and reporting methodologies, including geo-holdouts, brand lift, attention and engagement metrics
• Experience developing media campaigns using user value as a measure of success
• Deep understanding of audience segmentation and data strategy
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (written & verbal), with the ability to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences
• Bias towards action, never hesitating to dive right in and address something hands-on with a solutions-oriented approach
Preferred:
• Experience working in media & entertainment or audio industries
• Success influencing and driving results in a decentralized environment/organization
• Google Ads certified
• Experience building campaigns that include offline buys
Additional Information
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for New York based individuals expressing interest in this position is $110,000-130,000 annually.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
