Compensation:
$113,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The actual base pay offered is subject to many factors including transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
Hard Skills:
- 7+ years of marketing and event experience including event marketing and sponsorship management.
- Large-scale project management experience.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in event production, logistics coordination, and budget management.
Soft Skills:
- Passionate about bringing editorial initiatives to life with a deep understanding of events, entertainment, and culture.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative experiential ideas.
- Outstanding collaboration skills, including the ability to work internally across multiple departments and with external organizations (vendors and clients) confidently and effectively.
- Highly organized with grace under pressure; flexibility and resilience is a must.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities as they arise.
Position Overview:
The Director, Hearst Events will primarily focus on the development and execution of brand-specific editorial tentpoles and multi-brand events. This role includes overseeing the logistics and production of event content and execution. Key responsibilities include managing event coordination, site selection, vendor management, and the development of promotional assets. This critical role requires comfort with high-level collaboration across multiple teams and departments.
Location Requirement:
New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
