Full Time Job
This is a junior level attorney position supporting Access Hollywood/Access Daily/E! News and any other programming produced by the production group.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Reviews show segments for broadcast on various media platforms which includes viewing segments, web articles, video and reading scripts for potential copyright infringement, trademark infringement, defamation, privacy rights violations, research issues and FCC issues.
• Coordinate with producers, editors, and clearance department to verify and approve content and materials for show segments.
• Review web articles, press releases and blogs for potential legal issues and revise as necessary. Reviews, drafts, interpret and negotiate various agreements and releases.
• Ensures compliance with NBC News Policies and Guidelines
• Other duties as assigned, including research and administrative responsibilities.
• Formulate concepts, negotiate and draft contracts ranging from talent agreements, employment contracts, location agreements and other production agreements as required.
• Analyze branded entertainment proposals, advise regarding compliance and legal requirements, draft integration and sponsorship agreements as required.
• Supervise preparation or prepare Materials Releases and/or other production releases as required.
• Review and approve e-commerce scripts and segments for FCC, FTC, and legal/standards compliance.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• JD from an accredited law school
• Active member of the California bar or actively working towards the bar
• Minimum 3 years' experience in some or all of the following areas: entertainment law, corporate law, intellectual property, contracts or litigation
• Strong legal research and writing skills as demonstrated through a writing sample

Additional Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
